WHAT IS REIKI 4 KIDS?
Helping Hands for Underprivileged has teamed up with The P.E.A.C.E. Foundation and certified Reiki practitioners to offer UK children free Reiki sessions. These sessions are aimed at healing our society and offering children much-needed energetic balance - resulting in the much acclaimed benefits of Reiki - calmness, a sense of wellbeing and creativity. What more could you want for your child!
Usually, so-called alternative therapy has been too expensive and so only a privileged section of society benefits from its incredible benefits. With children these days being given multiple pharmaceutical drugs to control their behaviour more and more people are turning towards the energetic balancing of Reiki to aid with their children's energetic imbalance. There are no known side-effects to Reiki as it does not use any medical influence on an individual's system. Instead it uses a natural healing system that has been practiced for millennia.
Our Reiki Healing Events are held monthly and are provided within a very safe environment where parent and child are always able to to experience the session at the same time.

WHAT HAPPENS AT A REIKI 4 KIDS HEALING EVENT?
Reiki4Kids events are usually held in a hall where there will be multiple chairs seated throughout the hall with ample spacing between.
Each child is invited to seat themselves down whilst a Reiki Master begins the healing process. Using permission of the parent, a Reiki Master will use either hands-on or hands-off techniques to begin the healing process. Parents are invited to watch from the side of the hall to allow the healing process to fully engage.
The healing session usually lasts 30 minutes for each child.
All our Reiki Masters practising are CRB-checked (Criminal Records Bureau-checked) and have been practising professionally with clients for a number of years.

We are always looking for certified Usui Reiki practitioners (Level 2 and beyond) to offer free healing services to children.
All expenses (travel, lunch) are paid.
Please note that we have a strict assessment procedure, which involves an application, CRB checks (Criminal Record Bureau Checks) and an interview
WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is a natural healing technique that has been around for aeons. It involves a practitioner (who has been attuned to the Reiki energy during training) to then harness this natural energy to focus upon particular points on an individual's body. It can be practiced hands on as well as hands off.
We as human beings are energetic systems, made up of energy, When our energy is blocked, we become unbalanced. Reiki uses this natural energy in the surroundings to re-balance an individual's energy system.
This ancient practice that is becoming increasingly popular in the West. It is a non-threatening, non-denominational practice that is now being incorporated by the NHS.
What happens during a Reiki session?
When an individual lies down on a massage table, fully clothed and relaxes. The Reiki Master then synchronises their energy with the client and begins to harness energy through their hands. The Reiki Master then directs this energy towards various parts of the individuals' body in a hands-on or hands-off approach, such as over the head and eyes and over the heart and stomach.
The individual feels a warmth and heat where the Reiki Master is channelling energy.
During our Reiki Healing Events, children sit on chairs with the Reiki Master working on their head, shoulders and body.
What are the benefits?
During a Reiki session, the most often reported feeling is a deep sense of peace and wellbeing, a deep relaxation. Following a Reiki session, as the energy begins to move through the layers - balancing one's energetic system, the individual begins the healing process - which is physical as well as emotional and mental, since these are all energetic systems within us as well.
Many people report wonderful results from Reiki, allowing some to move away from traditional synthetic medicines.
