MEDICAL FACILITY
Helping Hands for Underprivileged is working with local doctors and personnel to develop and construct a medical facility for the villagers so that the villagers can have access to medical attention - a key feature of any community.
TRAINING ADULTS
hh4u understands that for children to be taken out of the fields - this will have a direct effect on families which rely upon this extra work for their income. So HH4U is committed to provide for adults as well, so that they do not require their children to work in the fields, and can thus be educated. This simultaneously helps to break the poverty cycle.
Training includes:
-Working at the recycling centre (see below)
-Producing Tomato juice, to sell in the local shops.
-Candle-making, to export out of the village
-Envelope-making
RECYCLING CENTRE
hh4u plans to establish a recycling centre in the village, as part of our environmental drive to take care of people and planet. There are no bins anywhere in the village and villagers throw their rubbish on the road or in ditches. hh4u plans to tackle this by introducing recycling centres, where adults can be involved with and actually earn an income from - by recycling cans etc...
